VYHNÁNKOVÁ, Aneta
This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of children with autism spectrum disorder (hereafter referred to as PAS) in relation to the development of communication skills of preschool-aged children. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The first chapter of the theoretical part aims to clarify the issue of PAS, defining its theoretical framework, manifestations, particularly the triad of symptoms, and describing its aetiology. Then it focuses on its division according to functionality and on the individual subdivisions. The second chapter focuses on the clarification of communication in children with PAS, pointing out the differences between intact children and children with PAS. The third chapter further explores the possibilities of developing communication skills among children with PAS, with an emphasis on the approach of applied behavioural analysis, structured learning and forms of alternative and augmentative communication. The practical part focuses on answering the main research objective, which is to realise what type of approach the selected kindergarten established under Section 16, paragraph 9 of the Education Act and its employees take towards children with PAS in terms of communication skills, tools or methods. The observation method, document analysis and semi-structured interviews were used to answer the research objective. As a result of the research, it is possible to find out how the selected kindergarten approaches the development of communication skills for children with PAS, which methods and tools are used in practice in the development of communication skills for children with PAS in the selected kindergarten, and which ones have proved to be the most effective for the pedagogic workers.

Through analysis of specialised literature, the theoretical part defines the expression integration; other definitions include hearing disability and autism as the causes limiting the pupil's inclusion in educating in a mainstream elementary school. The practical part of the thesis includes a case study - description of the pupil's case. Experience is described from the current integrated education in a special elementary school where the pupil is educated according to the Framework Educational Program for Elementary Schools, with the prospective of upcoming re-integration into the mainstream elementary school, or, as the case may be, depending on the parents' decision, his integration in an elementary school for hearing impaired children. Martincová, Marie ; Zemková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Šiška, Jan (referee)
This thesis focuses on the games of the children with autism spectrum disorder as their most common activity. Furthermore, it describes the particularities and conditions of their games. Some methods of working with these children are mentioned as well, particularly the structured learning method. The goal of the thesis is to highlight the importance of games for the autistic children and to propose several different ways of improving their individual skills required cooperative games. The proposed learning scenarios come out of the structured learning method and they are based on my own experience with preschool children. The thesis suggests that games are a basic need of every child, including those with autism spectrum disorder. Children's games are absolutely irreplaceable because of their significance in the child's development and its process of socialization. However, there are certain constraints and difficulties for the children with autism spectrum disorder when it comes to the development of their individual and social skills. Our goal is to come out with certain measures that would help these children overcome their difficulties and integrate into the intact society.
